Probably each of us at least once saw the old house, which is already a century. But have you ever wondered what can be turned into with the right approach? In a real loft! Do not believe? See below!
That was the decision Nikolai Redega made when he saw the 100-year-old village house.
Inside, everything was in the classical rural, and maybe even dacha traditions. Old stove, tables covered with oilcloths, and in fact a small living space.
First of all, the owners decided to increase the usable area of the house by erecting an additional two-storey extension with a tiny terrace. Foam blocks were used for this.
As Nikolai himself notes, three years have passed from the purchase to the end of the building.
The classic for rural houses roof turned into a modern flat. Some of the small windows were replaced with panoramic windows to add more light and style to the house.
The stove eventually turned into a brick fireplace. And in order that the extension and the original building of the house looked like a single whole, outside the house was sheathed and painted black.
In parallel with the house communications and the space of the yard were arranged.
Since the house was originally in solid age, everything inside was additionally covered with insulation. After that, it was already possible to proceed to the interior design.
Furniture and materials for decoration were also selected in accordance with the loft style. These are natural materials from surfaces, sometimes even rough processing.
